Terms of Service

Acceptance

By using Next Podcast, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The Service

Next Podcast is a free podcast discovery app that curates episodes from publicly available podcast feeds. We do not host or produce any podcast content. All audio streams come directly from the original podcast publishers.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You may create one account per person. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Content

Podcast content is owned by its respective creators and publishers. Next Podcast aggregates publicly available feeds and does not claim ownership of any podcast content. If you are a content owner and have concerns, please contact us.

Disclaimer

Next Podcast is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and podcast availability depends on third-party publishers. We are not liable for any content within the podcasts themselves.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

What We Collect

When you create an account, we store your username and password. We also store your favorite podcast shows, preferences, and your auto-play setting.

How We Use Your Data

Your favorite shows and preferences are used solely to personalize your podcast feed within the app. We do not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third parties.

Third-Party Services

Google Gemini AI: We send podcast metadata (titles, descriptions, genres) and your favorite show names to Google's Gemini API to generate personalized episode recommendations. No other personal user information is sent to Gemini.

Apple iTunes API: We fetch publicly available podcast chart data. No user data is transmitted.

Podcast Publishers: Audio streams directly from podcast publishers' servers via RSS. As with any podcast app, those servers may log your IP address.

What We Don't Do

We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not serve ads or use ad tracking. We do not collect your location. We do not send push notifications. We do not share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

Podcast episode data is refreshed daily from live iTunes charts. Your favorite shows persist until you delete your account.
